Delrin adapter stuck on barrel

Hey guys, does anyone have any suggestions for getting a delrin barrel adapter that is stuck to unstick?

I own a Leshiy 2 and unfortunately my barrel adapter to use my moderator seems to have got stuck onto the barrel end.

I'm currently trying to use cool temp to see if it will help it get unstuck, would hate to have to use pliers to remove it though may have to if nothing works.

EDIT:
I got it unstuck using electrical tape to protect it and pliers, barely took any force.. is there any sort of lube that could be used to prevent this in the future? I'm not sure if there's anything recommend for barrel adapters or if something like that should be avoided. Don't want to make anything dangerous.

If it's a simple cylinder geometry, sandpaper on a dowel to open up the ID very slightly. And/or lubricate it with silicone (either oil or grease).

NP, Just put a tiny bit of oil on the inside, if you have synthetic use it. DO not use silicon. It sounds like it needs a touch of REALLY fine sandpaper to take off a tiny bit of material.

If it is plastic on metal, silicon oil won't hurt a thing. Metal on metal under high pressure will be a different problem.

Glad you got it unstuck. Try an o-ring instead of the delrin. Keeps things aligned & never really gets "stuck".

Delrin has a very high coefficient of thermal expansion. Warming it with a hairdryer would probably cause it to fall off.

I some times use a drop of O-ring lube on threads.
