Delrin ball in woodstock avenger

Where does the tiny delrin ball (white plastic) go in the barrel band? In between the short tube and the barrel band at the threaded hole for the front picatinny screw?

One in each side of the barrel band. When the screws are installed, they push the balls into the gap between the air tube and shroud.
