FX Delta Force Panthera Chassis... initial thoughts

Initial thoughts of the Delta Force Chassis.

Likes:
- Chassis feels good and handles well. Because of the air tube it balances really good. No additional weights needed for a perfect balance.
- Included grip, cheek riser, bag rider, and butt pad well made and provide a good amount of adjustments.

Dislikes:
- No directions provided.
- Did not include the small rear plug when you remove the Panthera OEM stock. If they had told me I would have purchased it. Waiting on that part now.
- No safety. You have to remove the safety to use this chassis. No cutouts to install safety back.
- Fit and finish is no where near as nice as my MPA HM1000x chassis.
- Does NOT work for left handed chocking. The chassis is only milled for right handed cocking. I'm a lefty and removed the cocking knob. It has a straight cocking lever now until I find a work around or bend the cocking knob out to clear the chassis.
- Hammer wheel cut out on my chassis was not large enough to mount the rifle and line up the chassis screws. I had to remove material and enlarge the opening of the hammer adjustment wheel.

Note: The Panthera is very very very tight to mount into the Delta Chassis. Talked with Delta Force and they said to sand down any high points. The finish externally is good. Nice feel and grip. The inside of the chassis is rough with many hot spots. These really dig into and mark my Panthera's finish. I spent a good two hours with sand paper and Dremil to reduce the hot spots. Mounting the rifle is better now that I knocked out the hot spots. Still very tight, but Delta Force said that is how it fits.

My MPA chassis fits perfect without any hot spots and the finish on the MPA is perfect.

I still like the Delta Force Chassis but there are some things that could have been better. It's the only game in town if you want to chassis mount your Panthera with a front tube air reservoir.

I'll update this post once I get the plug and some shooting under my belt.

Good info. Thanks for sharing. If I were to get the Panthera, I was hoping to have this with it. Things like the safety, hammer wheel cutout and missing parts to install it properly are a shame.

Safety might be a no go for some ranges. I use a camber flag so they are fine with that. The hammer tension wheel requiring me to widen the cutout; took time to reshape. It's a good thing I had a cut out tool. Bronze automotive touch paint fixed things up. I'm probably gonna get the chassis powder coated a new color.

Glad I saw this, Thanks for the info! Just ordered mine so I called UA and had them throw the plug in. The fact that it cost $3 and is not included is kinda weird.

Also talked to the guy a little, he said that you had to remove the safety just for the install, once it’s in the chassis you just reinstall the safety. Was this not the case for you?
There is no cutout for a safety. In Gerhard's prototype there isn't a safety. Mine doesn't have a one either.
Reg is really hard to access on mine. It is easier to just treat it like the DRS Pro and do all tuning outside of the chassis and seat it after turning.

I’m starting to have a case of buyers remorse already. lol
I don't compete. You'd have to check the rules. I think you have to have the chamber open and flagged when not shooting You can't have the cocking lever forward between transitions. I never see any PRS shooters safety between transitions, only cocking lever / bolt back. Again I don't PRS compete and didn't stay at a Holiday Inn.
