Daystate Delta Wolf .22 1:20" 600mm barrel increase choke

The barrel that came with Delta Wolf is 1:20" twist rate. Its slightly chocked. Apparently very well finished. Doesn't shoot 18.13 grain or 25 grain jsb redesigned at any fps accurately.

For someone I have also tried installing this barrel on a free floating barrel gun but no good accuracy.

As a last attempt I going to make the barrel a bit more choked.

When I push a pellet through the barrel, there appears no issues in barrel rather the barrel is Apparently excellent but without accuracy .

It will take time as my machinist is busy. But I shall develop more choke in it and then test it.

I have some hope that it will perform.

Is the crown finished well and concentric to the bore? If the crown is not done well then the pellet maybe exiting at an angle. They will self correct but lose accuracy.

Yes its has good crown. No doubt in it

Provided you can feel the choke when a pellet of the nominal caliber (0.217" head size) reaches the last 1in or so, and does not relax just before the head emerges, additional choke is unlikely to improve things.

You are very right. I can't provide the breach and muzzle specs right now but I understand that both specs are good to go.

Looks like one of the grooves is a bit harsh than others when I see the pellet pushed through the barrel.

It's so little aggressive that I couldn't find it with naked eye. Then with glass I found it.

Now I can just try fire lapping so that only that particular groove should get more abrression.

Further increasing the choke to the level of FX Superior liner might also overcome some of the bad effects of the barrel.

So it's a last attempt before throwing the barrel out of the window.
