Does anyone know if you buy an new chronograph/barrel/shroud assembly when you change calibers on the Delta Wolf, or do you just change the barrel (along with the probe and mag)? I'm guessing it is the whole assembly.

A caliber change is the whole gamut, the shroud contains the chrono, so yes you are changing the whole assembly.

More important question here I think is if you need the chronograph for a new caliber to work? Or that you just take the chronograph out of one caliber and put it in the next?

Only thing is that it will be less expensive than buying a whole new rifle. At least that is the way I am going to look at it...if I ever get the .25 DW that I have ordered. Just my $0.02 opinion.

I think you need to consider the concept of the gun here, if you are prepared to shell out the cost of a new DELTAWOLF and understand what the price of the gun actually gives you, then surely you would consider that to achieve the quick change that the system is designed to provide, then you would have to buy the complete barrel system including the chrono built into the shroud?
No one would expect that this would be the same price as a purely mechanical rifle would they?
As I understand it from looking, you could potentially swap the chrono system over to a bare barrel and save some cost, but why? surely as above the concept is quick change?
I for one certainly wont be messing about with my current barrel, I have a .30 barrel set-up on order and once I get it I will report back.

Personally, I would look at getting the complete barrel/chronograph/shroud as it would be easier to swap and there is zero chance of buggering up the wiring between the chronograph and the rear contact point.
