Delta Wolf?

I understand the Alpha also includes the updates to the valve and software.
The valve is only the newest AW Safari. It’s not in the original AW model. But you can do software updates to any of the models.

I could be wrong but I think there is more to the differences in the DW and AW than just the stock. Daystate never said what they are but it’s got to be something as just the stock doesn’t explain the price difference.

Delta wolf specs for 23" .22 say "up to 60 ft-lbs". For AW Safari 23" .22 "Up to 71 ft-lbs". So, definitely some 'things' going on. But like you said, I do believe those updates can be added to existing DW.

Hey guys, I have owned the DW for over 1.5 years now. They are constantly making revised changes to these systems. Daystate's communication just plain sucks thou in letting people know. The 22 barrel system has had at least 2 if not 3 revised probe / hole modifications for power. I talked with AOA noticed some small changes and he indicated ahh yea you have this version other guys have that version same DW rifle just different versions. So looks like the DW/AW and others on this platform are a work in progress. I would be surprised if the DW cant be upgraded to the other version but do not quote me on that. The 30 Cal in the original DW is pretty weak barely enough to shoot over 900 fps with 50 grain pellets. Slugs are not the best out of the 30 cal just not enought power. The .177 DW is substantially less powerful than the RW HP in .177 in talking with others they are trying to find their way with increasing power. Do not even get me started on the software issues and programming that daystate has not even put out a video on. I put out a video on tuning the DW just as a holdover until an expert from daystate gives us theirs....

Overal lit is a GREAT GUN i am pickey but it has been growing pains for sure and the future for Daystate has to go with this but man I wish daystate would handle things a bit differently. I almost bought a second DW for 2499.99 in 25 cal as the barrel system was 999.99 almost half the asking price but pulled back at the last minute.

Really like Daystate products but they could stand to be a lot more forthcoming with information (even with their "mechanical" lineup). Can be a chore to get something as simple as a torque spec for a certain screw, or an o-ring size/durometer.

Well said. It's ridiculous and not understood why they want to be so damn secretive. There is a part list / o ring chart on another thread, but two things I've noticed. It's incomplete and some of the o ring sizes they mention are impossible to find.
Daystate lists an O ring kit on their website but they don't ship to the United States. Which is absurd. Need some of our Canadian (they will ship there) friends on here to offer to forward them to us if possible.

Same here, they REFUSE to disclose even barrel twist rate information. Even my Crown has more power than the latest AW so they can keep their secrets to themselves!!!

See, here's an example of the stunning hypocrisy we frequently find here on the forum. Swap some brand names around and what you just said is an outright WAR. Moderators get involved, feelings get hurt, vendettas get created, etc.

All b/c of comments like these, but only IF some manufacturer names were swapped around. As it stands though, likely won't be a problem, and that's cuz certain brand-boys are RABID in their loyalty. All the other brands? not so much.

I have many brands of guns or don’t have rabid loyalties. No hypocrisy because if FX hid information like twist rate I would also have a cow or not buy from them. They already posted Panthera diagram with every part number for the gun and I can buy them today.

You have your opinions and I have mine, no feeling hurt(at least mine) nor moderators needed. I know how to use the ignore button. 😄

Funny thing, I'll be in England in a

Caliber and numbers you are getting for your crown? I'm curious.

With FX slug power kit and 700mm barrel I was getting 67fpe in 22 shooting 35 grain SLUGs @930fps. In 25 I’m was getting 84 FPE shooting 34.9 grain slugs @1040fps but I tuned it down to 975fps and probably will tune it down to 920 where I usually find best accuracy/consistency.

In all factory form with 600mm .22 barrel I maxed out at 57fpe shooting 35 grain slugs @860fps. Those long 35 grain .22 slugs are really hard to push.

Yep, my "latest AW", a Safari in .22 with a 23"/600mm barrel can sling JSB 33.96 at 970 fps / 71 fpe, but I prefer it tamed down to shoot JSB 25.39's around 955 fps. Better shot count and still hammering.
To each their own. Love my Impacts and other rifles as well.
My problem is that I'm a 'fanboy' of everything airgun. From springers to the crazy big bore stuff and every rifle/brand in between. I have no preference.
I do think it's a fair complaint about Daystate's not providing detailed information like FX and some others have done. Especially considering the price we shell out.
I like to break down and fix my own rifles rather than send them off, if and when there is an issue.
