Delta Wolf?

I think porting is one area which is holding the DW rifles back on power when compared to FX. I removed my .25 23" barrel yesterday to do some cleaning and I was a bit surprised how small the port on the barrel is. In .25 the port measures ~5.10mm.
Bingo. Daystate/BRK is a big fan of micro ports and high(er) operating pressures...

Ccut, I noticed you have been shooting your RedWolf vs. your DW in 100yd comp’s is it more accurate? or can push the MRD’s at the velocity you need? And will we see you with a AW soon?
Yes, I have been shooting my .25 Red Wolf (Bullseye) at 100yard BR. I came in 3rd at 2022 EBR Pro 100Y with it (and 3rd in the recent Oregon competition), so I'd be foolish to change guns at this point - it is the most accurate pellet gun I have at 100Y shooting .25 King Heavy (I gave up on the .22 RD Monsters for precision BR because of the ammo being substandard, not my old .22 RW (Bleu)). Plus, IMHO the rifle is easier to shoot in BR comps than a bullpup.

My Delta Wolf (White Fang) is a very good gun in .30 caliber, but I've shifted it back to a prototype .22 Slow Twist barrel to shoot the RD Monsters at about 960 fps for the Speed Challenge at RMAC. So, I'll shoot the .25 Red Wolf at 100Y, the .22 Delta Wolf in Speed, and the .25 Panthera in PRS.

I've also decided this year to go back to the future for my Extreme FT gun (that I used in Oregon for 2nd a couple weeks ago) and use my old .30 FX Bobcat Mk2 (The Reaper) with 44.75 pellets at 865 fps. Is it more accurate than my DW when in .30? Nope, they are about the same. But do I 100% know that when I miss it's me and not the gun? Kinda. But with the Bobcat I KNOW, not THINK that if I miss it's me.

Alpha Wolf? Why? It's the same gun as the DW if you have the upgraded "Super Valve" which I have in my gun. Plus I get to choose a vertical grip which I like much better than an angled grip.

I'll tell you which gun IMPRESSES me, and that's the .30 BRK Ghost in factory off the shelf trim. My good buddy Tony @pesty3782 has one and the gun is lights out, every bit as good as my Bobcat or Delta Wolf. It is so good that he is shooting it instead of his .25 Crown that he shot at EBR last year. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Tony and his Ghost (Spectre) on the Sportsman podium at RMAC...

I forgot you switched to the .25. I got very frustrated trying to make the MRD’s work.
I registered for the PAcup this year so I’m going to give the .25 a go?
I’d go with .25. Most of the top Daystate shooters have walked away from the horrible flyers that occur with RD Monsters just when you least expect it. I shoot .25 King Heavy about 930 fps and can’t remember the last time I had a flyer. There is a very small minority on here thst say it’s never the pellet and always the barrel. I think that’s total bullish!t and it just makes me chuckle.

Yep, my "latest AW", a Safari in .22 with a 23"/600mm barrel can sling JSB 33.96 at 970 fps / 71 fpe, but I prefer it tamed down to shoot JSB 25.39's around 955 fps. Better shot count and still hammering.
To each their own. Love my Impacts and other rifles as well.
My problem is that I'm a 'fanboy' of everything airgun. From springers to the crazy big bore stuff and every rifle/brand in between. I have no preference.
I do think it's a fair complaint about Daystate's not providing detailed information like FX and some others have done. Especially considering the price we shell out.
I like to break down and fix my own rifles rather than send them off, if and when there is an issue.

Now you got me curious, might have to try the 33 grain pellet just to see where my Crown lands in power. The bore drag on those 35 grain slugs is horrible, even my impact barely got it to 1000 fps maxed out with MUCH bigger plenum. I know the factory 700mm impact can shoot those 33 grain pellets close to 1000 fps with relative ease.

Although 970 with those pellets with only 5.5mm TP is pretty good. Some folks said the 22 barrel twist rate is too slow for slug on those DW/AW. You got some 35 grain NSA to try? Curious to see what the new AW can push it at.

Everything I've read says the .22 DW/AW is not a slug shooter. I tried a few different diameters of 23 grain NSA's and Javelins and it was horrible.
A few folks say it will somewhat group knockouts out to 50, but If I'm shooting slugs, I'm shooting way beyond 50. I'll stick with my impact for .22 slugs.
Considering a .25 barrel kit for my AW as well. Few videos out there of guys shooting slugs pretty well with the .25 barrel. I bought my AW to be a pellet shooter. I would like to see what it does with King Heavy's

I sure do like my Delta Wolf. It’s come a long way with a lot of factory upgrades installed as things have improved. Of course, I must do my own tweaking as well. His name is Daddy. Shoots the .30 56gr Zan pellets so very good!
