Tuning Depingers

I took a break from the pcp world but decided I wanted a pcp from where my parents came from so recently acquired an ar6k. Almost bought jwrabbit’s ar6 but decided to get a lower powered ar6k since I switched to 22lr for any hunting.

I clipped the hammer spring and got two more magazines out of a fill now.

Muzzle was quiet with a silencer, but man that ping was much louder than a break barrel action. Installed the top of a baby brush bottle in the tube, and now it’s a quiet fun pcp.

Has anyone else used the bottle brush method recently? Anybody notice any issues with this method? What other methods are people using?

Side note: my spread is 150fps with the mods, has anyone successfully altered the valve output to match a weakened hammer spring on the ar6?

The bottle brush depinger was all the rage back on notwork54. Only problem I remember are loose bristles floating around in the tube and getting into the valve. Just make sure you use a brush with a twisted wire center and no loose bristles and you should be good. Mark

Thanks man! I took time to remove any loose bristles from the twisted center after I cut it from the handle. I’ll update the thread if any bristles cause issues or if I see any accelerated corrosion
