Dewey Rod ?

So I bought a dewey rod in 22 cal. it has a blue rubber tip cover is this correct ? Also I bought all the attachments but they do not fit. they also sent one with a female end which should have had a male end .

Here is a size comparison of the jag that came with the rod and a extra one that I ordered in 22 cal. the smaller one I believe is a 177 cal. and also believe the dewey rod is .177. I called AOA an explained but was sent the same rod again,
I'm about to give up on this adventure.

I'm not even getting what their site show's

So what color tip does a 22 cal. dewey rod come with ? I guess is my main question .

The blue tip is a protection cover. Remove that and post a pic.

ctshooter I wasn't sure if they had different protective cap colors for different calibers.

I know Dewey makes two different diameters of .22 rods. One size for .223/5.56 and another (smaller diameter) for .22LR and pellets.

I think I have one of the smaller rods in a short length. To use a larger threading I have to put an adapter in there which I have from a Umarex airgun cleaning kit. I also have a longer rod which seems to accept the end pieces without the adapter.

ctshooter Thankyou also sir, so after looking at the AOA site it seems that they are not sending me my adapters for the second time from what is listed on their site. Maybe they will get it right the third time (hopefully maybe get a different person). The one thing that came out of this is that the wife claimed the one box so she can put her small fake Christmas tree into it LOL.

It depends on the model number for diameter and length. It appears that the Model 20C-32 is for .2/.22 caliber and 32" long for instance.

Mike I went to the deweyrod.com and seen all 20 pages of the accessories my brain is spinning. My rod measures .160" dia. 24" long so it's 177 have to see tomorrow why AoA is not sending the adapters which is showing on their site and they are telling me it is 22 cal. . Hopefully things will get straighten out tomorrow. Thanks for your time

Gotcha. I happened to have bought locally but did buy a few of the accessories straight from the Dewey site as local didn't have the need.

Well after talking to AoA I think things are straighten out, have been being sent the wrong rod plus the site picture is wrong. I'll see when it arrives. My rods first one measured 0.1580" and the 2nd one at 0.1590". Would have been easier if they marked the handles caliber size I would think (at least for air guns).

I've a tipton carbon fiber rod for .177. For .22 or .25 I use an adaptor, 5-40 male to 8-32 female. That way I can make do with one rod.

At Kayaker- you should’ve ordered the rod already with the male threaded tip attached at the end, and from there female to female threaded adapter coupling is attached to the rod and that will now accept all of those mops, jags, and brushes. If it’s from amazon return it, and if you want, I can send you the link to the one I got

Well I got the right rod today (they go buy the dia. of the rod at least for pellet guns from what I have read) for 22 cal. the rod measured .210 dewey site say's .205-210 .
With all the adapture's the protective cap is also a different color. Thankyou Darren (AoA)
