Diablo Dry Air System

I have a Diablo Dry Air System on my Omega Super Charger and have had it on it for quite awhile with good results. I have been considering going to a Air Venturi Compressor because of some malfunctions on the Omage and was wanting something a little more reliable and something to use as a back-up system. I know the Diablo works well on the Omega but have not heard if it works as well on the AV. About a year ago on this forum I read an article about someone having the hose blow or the fittings blow on the Diablo System, but I don't remember what compressor it was hooked up to ... and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with using the Diablo and the AV together and if there has been any problems. Thanks in advance.

I run the Diablo Dry Air System and have an AV Compressor. The combination has worked flawlessly so far on about 15 fills of my 4500 PSI AV 74 CF carbon fiber Tank. The AV compressor does a good job of removing oil and water from the output via a metal cooling coil and a vertically mounted cotton filter. The weak links of the Diablo, in my opinion, are the input foster fitting shape and the output side hose (which is unamed and unmarked and these 2 characteristics always raise a red flag for me when dealing with HPA). I have been unable so far to determine the fitting thread size used on the Diablo - it is not BSP or NPT so I am guessing it is M10 x 1. I have some M10 fittings on order from Best Fittings UK. Hopefully one of these will fit. I intend to replace the foster fitting and replace the stock Diablo hose with an AV Compressor Output hose which is made in Germany and is rated at a Working Pressure of 630 BAR.

Regarding the AV compressor, it has exceeded all of my expectations and I am very happy with the performance. I run Coleman Powermate PX FULL Synthetic Oil and a mixture of filtered bottled water and Purple ICE. With this combination, in fills from 2500 to 4500 psi, my temps never get above 65C indoors.
