Diablo filter

I was going to return it, and buy a different one but, hooked it up and everything was smooth sailing.

Nothing leaked, fit just fine. Did not slow my fill at all.

Was going to return the diablo but it came quick. Took a peek an looked good. Hooked right up to everything. WAY CHEAPER......SO No leaks.

Glad it is working great and fit!! How many hours before the molecular sieve needs changed? My big dryer needs serviced every 30hours, so I was curious on these smaller units. Does AOA or other Diablo dealers sell the sieve?

SIEVE IS NOT NEEDED IN MY FILTERS . Just all beads.That big blue bead filter I have behind air compressor has not been changed for 2years so far. That will give the diablo more time before I have to change as well. ALL th pellets are still blue.

The Diablo filter uses molecular sieve, not desiccant beads. That is what I am curious about? Did the Diablo come with directions or a manual that stated the lifespan of the molecular sieve?

I didn't receive a manual with my Diablo. I have researched trying to determine the lifespan of the molecular sieve pellets and have found that there are many "variables" that affect the lifetime. (Of course). Flow rates, air moisture content, temperatures, are some of the major ones. I'm referring to time to saturate the media not time to renew. I do remember seeing a chart on a Scuba diving forum that was showing times between 2 and 8 hours of pressurized use before rejuvenating the beads. However, I also noted that unlike regular desiccant, the method used to rejuvenate molecular sieve beads requires heating at a higher temperature and "under a vacuum" ? So if you have a "wet" system it might require more maintenance. Since AOA handles these filters I'm sure that they carry the media.

The beads were like brown black and and white. In a video I saw. Them the ones ?

My dryer use molecular sieve and all the rounds pieces are an off white color.
