Martin and Dave had other obligations, Jeff stepped up to the task of making sure everything was organized and safe. Brisk but calm winds and the sunshine peeked out every once in a while.

Seemingly calm winds. On several occasions we got fooled into thinking there wasn't enough breeze out there to be concerned with only to see our first shots land just outside the KZs? Tricked me a few times at 11.5 fpe. Also, without Martin or Dave present, an unsupervised Jim Poh set some difficult targets including a tiny one at only 9ish yards (nobody could say because nobody could focus on it to range it) and some particularly difficult forced position targets which left the off-hand pistol shooters with six goose eggs for scores on that lane. Overall scores were a little down this match but fun was had by (and made of) all. Acting match director brought donuts for a sugar high during the match and Sacramento Sam brought cookies and the makings for sandwiches for afterwards.
After the match a few shooters hung around and broke out their 80 fpe guns for some informal long distance paper punching and rim fire silhouette smacking. Pretty impressive wares guys. Thanks for sharing them!
