Gary,

No sir, that isn't one of my 430's. That is a 460 I have not shot in quite some time. It was loaned out. That is about as good as that one does with that pellet unless I size them.

Zero was wandering when I got it back so I field stripped it, checked, tightened and lock tighter the screws. Then I replaced the SWFA 10x with the old Leapers.

It is shooting at about 18 fpe. I think the apparent wander was due to different wind directions and spin drift but I am going to shoot that target again before I roll a batch of pellets and run the test.

Should have all that data maybe tomorrow.

Mike

On my death bed given the opportunity I believe I'll order a double shot of George Dickel neat until then better men will have to enjoy that for me.😀

Well I took that 460 to the indoor range today. The zero was still drifting. I finally put it back on the chronograph. It was shooting 230 feet below spec...

Did I mention I had loaned it out to a fellow in Richmond? Second rifle I have loaned him which came back with a problem. First go round I did not mention it to him. It was missing the grub screw whick keeps the parallax ring in place. SWFA was kind enough to send me a replacement screw.

This time I am going to ask John to look for signs it was dieseled. It he says it was It's on my friend and if he asks to borrow another rifle, he is getting the bill.. If John says no then it's on me. Either way no more loaners. I've learned that lesson.

I won't be delivering on that test for a while.
