Diana 48 in 22 broken in?

I don’t sort. Straight from the tin. I have had pretty good results with jsb in this and my 97k in 177. My backyard range is 25 yrds and I usually get some shooting in daily. Maybe not for groups but for pest control for squirrels and starlings . O wish o could stretch to around 40 yrds. I might need to try to get a angle range somehow to stretch my shooting. We shall see... to be continued

Do your sort your pellets? You know , weight and size ? I’ve just started do that. With my Hatsan 95 .22 cal. And last night I got my first under an inch group at 20 yards. But I need to do some more shooting to confirm it’s repeatable.

IMHO I've found with a springer you have to be very consistent with hold and carry through. I have a M48 in .177 with a vortec kit installed and it shoots about the same if I do my part. My problem is I've been seduced by the darkside (PCP) and don't shoot my 48 much at all anymore. lol It takes a lot of practice to shoot a springer well from my own and others who have wrote about it experience.

Agree! I have about 5500 shots through my 97. Lots of trigger time with that rifle. Always true. My Diana 48 in 22 I find way more hold sensitive. If I rest it on a soft bag she stacks pellets. If I change to another type hold she stacks pellets just at a completely different poi. So it’s hard to bench shoot for groups and also use her to shoot squirrels where I have a different kind of rest set up for that in another location. Kinda frustrating. My 97 much more forgiving. Maybe because the 48 is so much more violent of a shot cycle. 97 in 177 much more mellow

hi, don't hold it tight, hatsans shoot better if you leave them as if they were floating

try H&n pellets, in my experience are the better ones for hatsans, 14.66 gr

try it

i have a 52 with the vortek PG2 and have the same results. i shoot the heavier 10.5 crosman premiers from it, though.
