[Septicdeath]

Picked this up.its cosmetically beautiful, but needs a new seal. Have it tore down and the piston seal and breach seal is ordered. The old seal had completely disintegrated and had to dig it out of the chamber end. Part of it was still attached to the piston. New project to restore.

 I have seen a few of those on eBay lately for sale. And all the research that I did on those did say that those piston seals disintegrated in the model fives. I was still going to buy one until People started bidding them up too high. They are supposed to be nice shooters though.

Those are very nice - and IMHO underrated - air pistols. The metal work is extremely well done, they have decent power, quality barrel, nice sights, and the trigger is very good indeed - exactly the same as the model 6 recoilless target pistol of the day.

I agree the ginormous plastic grip/frame is not what you'd call lovely, but for my dinky hands at least is VERY comfortable. It really works better for me than the later guns with metal frames and separate grip panels. Really nice guns to shoot.
