Has anyone tried one of these at FT? Not sure about 10-55yd accuracy and reliability compared to other spring guns more commonly seen in comps. Uj
Its a great gun, great trigger with little work.
I've done a bit of work to mine, but it is a good gun. With FTT 8.65gr 4.52mm and the Barracuda FT 4.51mm pellets I'm capable of shooting 3/4-7/8" 10 shot groups at 55 yards off my knee.
I'm not sure what your build is, but this is a large and heavy rifle. I'm 6'2 and have long arms/ legs, this rifle is at the absolute max size I can shoot comfortably.
IF I decided to shoot this rifle as my main in WFTF Piston I would have to chop the stock by 1" in the LOP department. But then you'd need to address the lack of forward adjustment for the scope rail as well as the droop factor.
You could use a CCA Accurized Zero recoil scope mount from Hector M, and put that atop a UTG dovetail- picatinny adapter to get that out farther that would help. I'm not a fan of the zero recoil mounts. I appreciate the concept and have never used one of Hector's but as far as repeatability I just try and keep moving parts to a minimum.
The factory piston in a 48/52-54/56 is the heaviest I've dealt with so far. Over 320 grams. If you planned on open piston or hunter it would be great, but I'd recommend running a lower power than 19/20 just to save your scope.
