Diana Diana 6

Shot this Diana 6 today . Indoor target 23 feet , a bit stiff to cock but what a shooter ! (maybe build some sort of rest with a hydraulic ram to jack that barrel ?)

I have one of the Beeman "original 6" models, one with the big heavy plastic stock. I wish it were like that. Be careful as that front sight is rather fragile, at least mine was. Plastic and it cracked. I finally found one that would fit the factory dovetails on the barrel, but it is a little high so I had to file the front sight post insert down some, so it does not appear centered. At least the gun shoots good, off a rest accuracy is about like that. That Giss system is so smooth.

What site did you use? I would like to replace. I need inserts and don't know of source.

Wonder if the old Crosman 411 front and rear might fit.

are they hard to cock, well yes and no
they have a short barrel and a cocking aid would be a great addition but at 29 LBs of Energy to cock not bad, a Hatsan model 25 is 59 LBs
the how to make a cocking aid would be an interesting discussion
> …. how to make a cocking aid would be an interesting discussion …

A long piece of 1” x 1” (or bigger) U-channel steel which can wrap around the barrel from underneath. Several inches from the end drill holes for a 1/4” bolt close to the open edges of the U-bar. This bolt will pass all the way through the bar and fit on top of the short piece of the barrel that sticks out in front of the front sight. Install some leather wherever the bar and bolt touches the barrel to avoid scratching the barrel

the goal would be to have it work and not be a broom stick taped to the barrel LOL
i will be working up a pretty plan LOL
Ahh, I should have mentioned … this would slip on only when needed. It wouldn’t be stuck on like some permanent eyesore 🙂
I have a Predom Lucznik that uses a special rod fed into the barrel. Sounded pretty brutal until I discovered that the last several inches of the barrel was overbored for this purpose and not part of the actual rifled barrel

yes that could work
i like cocking aids for the most part
the one on the BSA Scorpion works great and i just leave it in place
till it was bought up here for the model 6 i had never giving it much thought
i can design one that slides on the barrel end and hook to something on the other side of the globe sight made and made out aluminum but it would never more tools than i own

A piece of U-channel steel or aluminum with a bolt through it (to hook in front of the globe sight as you said) only needs a drill to bore the hole in the right place. So if you have a drill you can do it
