I finally put a scope on the Diana 75 after getting it back from David Slade. He did an awesome job on the rebuild and the rifle is now ready for many years of shooting. The diopter sights are nice and it shot quite well, but my eyes arent what they used to be. It was nice seeing the target clearly through the scope. The scope is nothing fancy and I didn’t even dial it in. I just wanted to see how it shot. I’ll be setting it up with a better scope in the near future. I’ll also test a few pellets to see what it prefers. Just took a guess on the 7.87’s for now.

10 shots. Only 13 yards but I’m pleased so far.

Kudos to David Slade for a job well done. So smooth to shoot. Zero vibration or recoil😎

It’s a hoot. I’ll be shooting at the range and someone will come up to see it. I’ll cock it and hand it to them. They pull up and of course it goes off before they even know it. They look at me and smile and say “can I try that again?”
You just point and think about the trigger and a hole magically appears in the center of the bull.
No recoil, no buzz, no nothin just “thuck”

I’m sure yours is the same.

i have a project for you
the rarest model 75 is the K model, no sights, longer scope mount area, stock is different and it has what many will call the Tootsie Roll barrel weight
many years ago, i was going to try to have some made but the plan got sidetracked and off the project less
for a man with a lathe it would be simple
my point is your rifle would look good with a Tootsie

Marflow 777, Very nice indeed!!! I plan to make something on the lathe to replace the front sight. I need one for my FWB 300s too.

I had the same scope on my 75 although it wasn't the latest model, it did work good for target shooting. Those newer model Nikons had metal turret caps, mine had plastic..lol. I also made a "shorter" tootsie roll out of black delrin to replace the front site....

It also liked the AA falcon and JSB 8.33's

Trigger was around 2oz. Sweet rifles.

Nice work on the black delrin tootsie roll muzzle piece. I have plenty of delrin in the shop. Did you press fit, or did you tap the muzzle piece for grub screws?

Excellent shooting!!!! I look forward to shooting it at some longer distance in calm conditions.

IIRC I had a set screw or screws, I have a drawing at home if you want to find out for sure.
