This is the Buckrail AR conversion for my .22 Diana Bandit. Cannot say enough good things about this veteran owned, family business. Great quality, even greater value, and excellent customer service. I've bought a couple suppressors and now this kit. Check them out!

Thanks for the review, I just opened my new Bandit box an hour ago and it seems to be everything I hoped it would be. I quickly mounted a red dot sight and sighted it for 25yds. After 20 shots the gauge still shows near full so I think you can put to rest any thoughts about the 50cc capacity not being up to field use. The magnet mounted at the chamber is too high and won’t allow the clip to enter but that should be an easy fix.

I will also be ordering the carbine conversion kit from Buck-Rail, and having worked with Terry in the past and converted two Crosman pistols to carbines with his parts I know it will be great!

Last week when I ordered mine I also ordered a red dot sight from Amazon for $25 and a Monstrum 3X9X32 SF SFP illuminated scope from the dealer on sale for $49.99 and their 11mm rings. The scope is the best you can expect for the price and brief inspection shows very bright optics, My plan is to use it on the Bandit along with the carbine conversion kit. After I fit the magazine to the gun I will do some testing and post results.

I am fussy about my triggers and always hone and polish them and insert a lighter spring and I will also do this on this gun, but I must say that out of the box it is very crisp as is.

Little update after getting my scope mounted. I’m getting 3 full power magazines per fill. Shooting Crosman 14.3 hp. 1st mag: 651 avg fps, 2nd mag: 718 avg fps, 3rd mag: 647 avg fps. Takes 1 minute and 8 seconds to refill on my vevor compressor. Shoots around 99 decibels. And I’m getting .56 inch groups @ 30 yards. It’s also extremely lightweight.

Update as requested,

I began the installation of my Buck Rail carbine conversion kit for my Diana Bandit this evening and as expected some parts must be smoothed with sandpaper. All went well until I thought it would be a good idea to watch the installation video on YouTube where it was recommended that you remove the grip handle to make the AR receiver cover eaiser to install, did that. Now all that’s left is to mount the grip handle back to the frame using the provided hex head screw and “nut” included. What do ya know, unlike the video that shows the nut sitting stable in a fitted slot mine has nowhere to sit other than a large triangular opening with no way to align it. Small problem right? Wrong, its been hours and as of this writing its still not in place. I don’t know what you had to deal with when you assembled yours but I can tell you that as it is two men and a boy couldn’t make that screw go into that nut. It will have to be glued in just the right place on the frame to allow the grip screw to find it, hopefully. A simple spring clip commonly used to align nuts with plastic parts would have been a cheap solution and easier than making a recess to stabilize the nut, neither was done on my example.

I’m thinking that mine must be early production before all the bugs were worked out. I’ll remove the receiver and re mount the grip to it and reassemble it as a complete unit even though the rear mounting screw will be harder to reach. Eventually it will all work, but there will always be a bad taste in my mouth when I use this carbine remembering all the unnessary frustration. No stars for Terry and Buck Rail on this one..

What does yours exactly look like? This is mine from April. I’m pretty sure he sells enough not to have a “prototype” laying around he would risk sending. Honestly sorry for the install issues, really am wondering how to help.

Thanks for the picture, it shows exactly what should be there to secure the nut. Mine is not like that at all. Just an opening to lay the nut near and hope to hit it. Glad to see that they are not all like mine. I’ll glue the nut in place and eventually connect with it but I must say that this is frustrating and unnecessary. Thanks for your offer to help. Otherwise my Bandit is improved being converted to an AR style carbine.

Wow! Interesting. My picture was taken in an attempt to troubleshoot if the Lower Adapter was compatible with a Targetmaster/CP1-M. Didn’t work out “stock” in the end just due to some minor differences in the trigger well. However I digress. Terry took amazing care of me even though the issue was none of his doing. Don’t settle. Reach out. In my experience you will be made right.

I know that you are correct, only once in the past did I ever have a problem with one of his products and he sent a replacement pronto. I will be able to make it connect with more effort and once in place I’ll never touch it again. Just not worth the effort to pursue it further. Carbines are great.
Thanks for your help.
You got it man, looks like you know the drill even more than me. Love the collection of light, handy shooters! Cheers!

I love Buck-Rail products, use them with my Diana Chasers and Crosman 2240's, 1322's and 1377's. I've converted a .177 Diana Chaser into a tactical rifle and I recently purchased a .177 Diana Stormrider and I'm thinking about the tactical conversion for it! Do they shoot better after conversion? I think they do because I'm more comfortable with the gun after the conversion.
