Just curious what the part in the picture is for. MY guess is that if one removes the suppressor this will serve as a thread protector.

There is also an O ring as well. Curious as to the use for this. There does not seem to be any mention of either in the manual.

yes i agree barrel Thread protector and the Oring is used by many of us so the cap is easier to remove but that one could be for something else looks a little big

I don't remember my bandit having any urethane o ring like that.
