Diana Model 48 air rifle

once upon a time i bought a model 48 TO1 that was that was needing repair it was 100+ bucks
and what i found damaged and with the cost of parts and after adding all of up, it never got fixed it was not worth it
if it had been free maybe, but sometimes you win and sometimes you lose and yes i could get my money out of the parts, nice stock and such
so my point is if you took your time and sold the pieces you could get some money out of it and of course we have no idea what you have
the parts are worth more than the whole

The air rifle was in a house fire. The stock is burnt and cracked from the heat. The charging handle appears bent. The air rifle sat untouched in a damp basement for the last 20+ years. It will chock and fire a pellet, but from 6 feet the pellet barely penetrates the surface of a board. I suspect that between the fire and the years in a damp basement, the chamber seals are damaged. I fish, not hunt, so I am uninterested its keeping the air rifle. Friends of mine who do hunt agree with mar flow 777. The cost to repair probably exceeds the value. They suggested selling it for parts. I will purse Hastful McNasty's want ad suggestion. Mike

well, that is a bit different then i thought,
so, the stock is damaged, but it would be a great stock to strip and repair and paint for someone
the cocking arm looks okay but the connecting rod looks damaged
it would be a TO1 trigger and that has value
rebuild it paint the stock have some fun it is a project
is it worth the time to take apart and parting out, well if you have time
it would be a great father son project if you could get it cheap enough
it is a hard one to put a value on
