Howdy, first thread. I have one incoming and wanted to know if any owners put a red dot sight on it and if so any recommendations?

first off there is an old P-5 and a new P-five
the old one could be hard and i did try to take the rear sight off one of mine and those small Philips screws said i am not moving
now the new one which is Snowpeak sp500 has a dovetail rail built in

yeah, I'm getting the latest one which I believe is manufactured by Snowpeak. I watched a youtube video by walnut & steel and I'll most likely have to get an adapter to fit its 11mm dovetail. he has some pretty good suggestions for some red dot reflex ones. just thought maybe some here might have found one they think is good.

i wouldn't get to frisky the trigger on these pistols need to be worked on
here i mounted a dovetail reflex sight that you can find on Amazon and if you removed the rear sight, it could be moved back

thank you very much for this info and great pics! I've read about the adjustments I most likely will have to make if mine even comes with the set screw and possibly the sear adjustment. I'll just be doing backyard plinking, I have a Webley Stingray carbine that I bought back in 2005 and recently got back into the hobby and figured I try a pistol.

hello marflo 777, with your Kexuan red dot sight, did you have to get an adapter to fit your Diana P-5? I guess its an 11mm dovetail rail? thanks for any info and have a great weekend

no the reflex sight tightens right up on the pistol and yes it is a dovetail sight you could use a weaver sight and use a small adapter it would be cheap by a little
the reflex sight in Weaver are in the 28 buck range but the dovetail is about 40 bucks at Amazon and you add the adapter 10 bucks it is a push so go dovetail
if the pistol came from the factory with a better trigger, these are a steal and a nice little pistol but the 2 i got and many others the trigger need the work
longer adjustment screw and a resized sear hold down screw

I received my Diana P-5 and the Kexuan red dot sight yesterday. The P-5's trigger was actually very good and easy to shoot so I'm not going to mess with it. On the other hand the Kexuan must have been a return and reshipped to me. The lens cover was not even pushed all the way down and crooked. Looked like whoever had it before tried to adjust a screw on the side because some of the black paint had been scraped off showing the bare aluminum so I sent it back. Now I'm thinking trying another red dot or fiber optic iron sights if any are available for it. Really liking the P-5 so far.

Hello again marflow 777, I took my sights off to make room for my red dot sight. I put the screws in a little bag and my wife threw them away on accident. would you happen to know the size of the two little screws? I still have the spring and the one screw for adjustable height. thanks for any info....

check your local stores, they are on Ebay but at a 100 pieces
if you take parts off a gun put them in a bag but back in the box and or insert a note in the bag for you and others
