I have an old school Marksman 2-7x32 scope on one, an old school RWS 3-9x40 scope on another, and I'm using iron sights on one of the 22's.
I once put a Simmons Pro Air scope on one of my 52's & it broke the reticle in about 50 shots.
Both scopes are using the old school Beeman Adjustable scope mounts with the different width pins for different width rails.
I just loved these rigs back in the day with old school Eley Wasp pellets, or old school Crosman Premier domes from the carton.
I often sniped empty 9mm and 45 cal casings at 42 yards. I had a nickle sized leaf with a beautifully centered 3 hole clover leaf, all 3 hole touching, shot at 45 yards, in my missing shooting log.
I haven't shot them in years since getting into pcp's, then match rigs. I think my old school Disco (one of the first hundred made) sealed my 52's fates as safe weights. About the same power in such a light package for dragging thru damp foliage at night. Of course the trigger is No comparison between the two, but I had a Crosman 1077 when they first came out that taught me to work my trigger correctly & it would perform. Disco trigger is also heavy, but the rig is very accurate...which reminds me, I still have an old school TKO 3-screw trigger pack to install in my old school Disco (buit I'll probably just put an Mrod trigger pack in it).
Man, I'm old school...
