Diana RWS 56

I own one in .22 and in my opinion it is well made and accurate. Mine shoots 14.3 Crosman Premier Domes right around 820 fps.Trigger (TO6) has a fairly long first stage but is very smooth and breaks clean. Also the stock is ergonomic and very comfortable. Overall a super nice gun that is fun to shoot. A couple of drawbacks are that it is very heavy, especially once you put a scope on it. Bench shooting is okay, but I wouldn't want to carry it around all day. Price is another - not cheap. I will say that considering the overall price of airguns in general you get a quality product that somewhat justifies the price tag. Lastly, it's a side lever gun. Nothing wrong with the design or function at all (it works great), just took some getting used to for me as everything else I own is either break barrel or under lever.

This was on my wish list for quite a few years before I finally purchased one and have not been disappointed. Good luck!

See this review I provided of a new 56 out-of-the-box. I have since had it tuned by Motorhead Airgun tuning services, and it is absolutely deadly out to 70 yards. It does have more noise and has more weight than any other rifle I own, but it packs punch and will shoot hole-in-hole at 30 yards shooting Air Arms Diablo Field 18.0 grain pellets, and inside an inch group at 50 yards.

It is a great out-of-box rifle and even better once professionally tuned. I don't think Scott at Motorhead is currently doing any tuning, but John Thomas in PA is another good choice.

Hope this helps. The review is located at:

Same rifle, different stock.

Mine loved the cheap Crosman domes, and was as accurate as I was able to hold and shoot it out to 40 or 45 yards.

I hid in the cupola of a kids timber swing set and took these all out of the same hole under a shed. One Crosman dome apiece at about 30 yards.
