Looking for reviews for the Diana two forty air rifle from members who have experience with them.
Made in China and that says it all.
Great read! CharlesYes, I get it, It doesn't make me happy either, I's much rather see everything I use in my daily life made in the good old USA, but since it's not the reality of the day we have to conform to what is available, and before I'm told "oh no we don't" let me say I have air guns made in Germany, GB, Tiawan, Turkey, Japan, Spain, and yes my Blue Streak and my S&W 87 were made in the US, and guess what, I haven't had a bad one in the bunch.
Let me give you my impression of how this works, businesses from around the world inc. the USA for what ever reason (usually because of progressive made regulations, high taxes, or labor cost can't compete on the market, so they build factories or contract out manufacturing in countries that can make the price low enough to be able to compete and make a profit.
China is one of those countries, in the beginning their products were junk, but market demands and business demands forced better quality materials and quality controls as well as labor quality, so most of what comes out of China today is pretty much good quality, and yes most everything that's affordable is made in China, Japan, or some other country with a large work force and low wages, is it fair, not really, but it is reality. learn to live with it, or not, it's your choice.
But FYI, I have some expensive German made air rifles that I love, and I have allot more budget priced air guns, most made in China and they all shoot great, are all fairly accurate, powerful (as air guns go), and reliable.
I now return you to your original channel.
I agree. If the trigger was better it would be areal bargain. However I still like it as is as a $100 dollarI reviewed the Two Forty on my channel. Rudimentary trigger. The case hardening is very thin. I broke through it trying to stone the sear. Other than that, I was surprised by the accuracy and for the price tag, it's pretty hard to beat. Would make a great kids 1st pellet gun.
