Tuning Did the AMP regulator fix this Impact regulator leak issue?

Reason of the inquiry is why have a removable bottle if that's gonna cause the reg to leak?

The original impacts were made to be take down guns correct?

How's about FX coming out with a plug to seal that tiny reg breather hole to seal it till the reg o-rings puff back up again under pressure and seal again then remove the weep/vent hole plug right after?

I don't really want to watch a 25 minute video so can you summarize the leak location? Is it the atmospheric vent hole that you subsequently mentioned?

I know no relationship between a bottle being removable or not and the likelihood of the regulator leaking. It's going to leak if an O-ring is bad (damaged or wrong size/material/durometer) or the surrounding surface is in poor condition (rough, scratched, gouged). That's it really.

Any O-ring that needs time to swell before it seals is masking one of those problems, and is sure to be problem that resurfaces prematurely. A properly fitted O-ring will seal immediately by shifting toward the low pressure side and pushing against the extrusion gap.

Could have been a mistake. They might not think of some owners would leave the gun unpressurised for extended periods. Or the cutout intention might have been for owners who wanted a spare bottle for extra air? The older impacts had extendable shrouds, and 500mm barrels so they was short already. I personally would not take either bottle or barrel of storing the gun in a backpack, as you can get dirt in the gun, or seals.
