Not necessarily, I have some nice utg Weaver rings that have four screw caps that are inexpensive that I covenant, they are lightweight and crazy true, my newest scope thought I should upgrade and bought their ProRings made in the USA, still only 60.00 bucks, mounted finger tightened ,lossened up and had to pop the new scope up out off the lower mount, and sh!!!t scratched the finish on the scope front and rear, made me sick because reviews said these were great.
If I had laped or even just sanded the edges it would have been fine, did so afterwards but was too late , damage done. Point is I've used lots of cheap but very good rings from utg, weaver, leapold and Hawk that have been very solid and true.
I have some $100.00 Burris one piece mount for sale now that is superb quality, extreem durability...so high price can but not always mean better, I hate BKL rings but aren't cheap
