Hi, everybody. The last "official" DIFTA match of 2015 is this Saturday, November 7, at the WAC-IWLA near Damascus, MD. Registration and final target setup will be at 9:00 AM. The sight-in range will be open after the targets are ready for the match, which will begin at 10:00 AM. Registration is $10 for non-DIFTA members, $5 for DIFTA members, and $0 for first-timers.
Paolo has a 60-shot course for us, with some offhand and rapid-fire lanes in there somewhere. Since there's a modest chance of rain in the forecast, he also has a fallback plan ready, using the covered firing line.
The match is eligible for the Minutemen Field Target League's 2015 season. If you'd like to participate in the Minutemen League, feel free to bring your one-time $15 yearly fee, and consider bringing a hardcopy of the scorecard. See this forum thread for more info.
This is the last match of our 2015 season. At the Fantasy Shoot, I got unanimous feedback from the shooters that we should try for a December match. Let's pencil in December 12 for this, with the 19th as a fallback. We'll play by ear based on the weather, and discuss on the DIFTA mailing list the week before.
We'll publish the 2016 calendar over the next few weeks. The first match of the new year will presumably happen on a Saturday, or maybe even a Sunday, in March!
See Joe's map or the chapter website for directions, and feel free to email me at [email protected] if you have any questions.
See you Saturday!
