Nine shooters turned out for today’s 60-shot match. We shot under the threat of heavy rains. Temps were in the 60s, winds were light, with gusts up in the tree canopy but very little at ground level. There were two forced positions. The FT Gods were in a good mood and the rain held off until the match ended. Just minutes later it came down in buckets and would have forced a cancellation.
Mark King in WFTF Piston and Greg White in Hunter PCP shared the match high score closely followed by Rex Gori in Open Piston. Al Otter understandably took a rest from the forced position lanes and DNF; I hope that I’ll be able to do as well as Al when I reach his age.
Paolo Amadeo designed and setup the course and Mark Mayer acted as match Director.
The next match at DIFTA is the MD state championship on Saturday May 20.
