DIP-A-Dee-Doo-Dah

Inspired by my boy, @centercut and the hydro-dips that he’s gotten on several of his PCPs, I decided to jump in on some dips too. 

I used AguaDip in Houston for this. Mike at Aguadip gets the work done in a few days and his price is fair. Fortunately for me, they are local. The dips come out pretty cool and the films are durable as well. 

Here is the Cricket Carbine in Kryptek Obskura Nox and the Vulcan 2 in Kryptek Banshee:

Those are some bad ass Mama Jamas. Nice job. I really like the attention to detail on both, moderators, barrel band on Cricket, fill port cover on Vulcan2, etc. And I’ll bet they shoot as good as they look!

Like what you did with the title there, and love what you did with the stocks! 

CCs rifles have given me thought of doing this before, and then seeing that Carbine a few weeks ago made me really think about it again. 

Were these synthetic or wood stocks originally?

The Cricket is a .22 shooting the 18.13s at 920 fps and getting 55 shots on a 250 bar fill. 

The Vulcan 2 is .30 shooting the 44.75s at 860 fps and getting 28 shots from a 250 bar fill (added plenum). 

Both were wood stocks that needed help in the looks department

is the dip a grippy feel or slippery or like a fx soft touch

It’s not rubbery nor slippery. It’s as grippy as wood I’d say.

Yep, that was the laminate Vulcan stock that FedEx broke. I repaired, sanded and got her ready for the dip.
