Interesting to see that.
In my neighborhood there are plenty of squirrels. I give them a pass even if they drive my 4 pointers nuts. I actually enjoy when the dogs go bombing out the doggie door to “get” the squirrels then when about 8’ from the fence the dogs training and instinct foil their desires and they all stop and point the squirrel, much to the squirrel’s entertainment.
Two days ago it was time to go out and fire up my old Ford work truck and let it run for a while. I store it behind the fence until work season rolls around.
Knowing it would need a little ether to start I opened the hood and looking back at me were two squirrels. One very large one and a normal sized one. Once they ran off I looked around the engine compartment and noticed some chewed wires and nesting material.
Time to go Rambo on them. Off to Home Depot tomorrow to get the material for a squirrel death platform, tune the compact down to about 700 fps and start head shooting them.
Damaged F250 is way worse than a purloined cupcake.

That’s pretty cool that your bird dogs will point on a squirrel. My Springer would climb trees going after them. Then I’d have to get a rope, climb up and lower her down. I too wound up having to go Rambo on them to keep my dog from falling and getting busted up. She’s dead now so the squirrels get a pass until I hear on on my roof. I would lose my mind if they chewed up the wiring in one of my vehicles.

I declared war on them a couple of years ago when I opened the hood on my 2011 Honda Ridgeline and found they had chewed the plastic all the way across the firewall and a big hole in the top of the fuse box, the fuse box cover cost me $31 so I started shooting them and ended up with a total of 61 from May through December and I still shoot them when they come around.

This one was eating a stolen hash brown from my picnic table.. I didn’t have the heart to shoot him .. I called it a good leagal scanargle. 👌
