Does anyone know how to empty the cylinder on an FX Boss without putting $25 of pellets thru it. I'm going to drill the stock for a mount and drilling on it isn't an option with air in the gun. Thanks, Sal
I believe you just unscrew the bottle like on the 500 Royale Or- Ernest Rowe has a video is how to bleed the air with an Allen wrench in a port which is the side of the action. You put the wrench in and lever it against the little valve and when the wrench is speared all the way through the hole, it holds the valve open.
The valve in the bottle, if working properly will stop the air from leaking out. While you can stick something in there to let the air out it would be much easier if you just slightly unscrewed the nut in the bottom of the action that holds the screw that keeps the stock in place. Only unscrew it slightly and the air will leak out with the bottle on the gun. When tightening that nut back on only hand tighten it enough to seal the O-ring backup. If you put too much pressure retightening that nut you could snap It off since it is hollow to allow for the hole that let's the air come out.
