Disco Pump, My Ignorance or Stupidity Damaged Beyond Repair

Pumped up the Disco and AT 44-10 last fall and let them set.

Got ready for spring and both at full pressure . . . That is a good thing.

First and "foremost" the Disco . . .

It shoots those JSB EXACT 18.13s even better than I remember, but then it is time to air her back up.

Tried yesterday PM and no pressure build up, so I put it off til now. Put a dab of silicone on the fitting, hooked up and pressure builds to about 50-75 bar with no apparent (heard) leaks, but not any higher.
Why is the pump shaft black, that is new, have not seen that before.

When I examine it I find about 0.25" wide band of concentric roughness about 1.25" from the brass base nut.

I am guessing that since I do not have a drier on the intake it had moisture in it last fall, set there all winter and corroded.
Save 20-30 bucks on an air intake drier and eat up a 190 dollar pump, NOT very cost effective

Suggestions?
Tear it down look for other damage and order new seals and cylinder/chamber? I could not find the cylinder listed on Crosman's site, but did not look too hard.

Toss it and buy someone else's pump (which one, gotta fill 2000, and 3000 psi guns)?

Find someone on the net that bought a Discovery and pump and wimped out pumping?

NO, tanks are out.

Both guns seem to be OK. so maybe I only damaged the pump.

As Forrest said,

Stoopid is as Stoopid does."

I do not think there is damage to the cylinders with the info you provided. For long term id have to go with a hill pump, fx pump, or even a airforce pump. I can say my hill pump was made out of the strongest metal pole i have ever held in my hand. if it were me id try my luck with a rebuild kit. If there is definite cylinder damage then yeah no luck.

I think it is probably fixable. Look online for diagrams and descriptions on how to rebuild. Mine did the same thing and I was able to rebuild it and it works fine although I don't use it much since I have a compressor and the pump puts a lot of moisture into the gun. My disco had significant corrosion inside after hand pumping for a few months. Make sure and tear your disco down at least once a year and check for corrosion inside.
