Discovery Rifle Pump Gauges

The pump gauge reads about 125 BAR when the rifles gauge is at the black line before the yellow. I guessing this is the 2000 psi level on the rifles gauge.

One or both is/are wrong.

Which is most likely correct.

Kind of hard to believe but I have had this gun in my hands a bit over two weeks and it does not have any issues where it needs to returned for repair.

Sending it to Crosman NY repair station rather than a field repair station seems to have done the trick to get it shooting and KEEP it shooting.

Almost afraid to say anything and jinx the deal!

My Discovery gauge and the pump gauge are always far apart. But the Benjamin pump gauge matches the gauge on my Marauder. My money is the Disco gauge is a problem.


I think they will send you the gauge if you call. This is not unusual. I need to make that call myself

May be time to dig out the chrono and see what velocities at the different pressure readings.

The bottom line is a Disco is a lot for the bucks...but most people have a few wrinkles to iron out. I know my accuracy is affected by the trigger. . I need to mod that a bit. And I am sending it to TKO for tuning. I think he does a lot for eighty bucks or so. I am still damn glad I bought this rifle.

I had my trigger group apart the other night because i needed to look at the allen screw set-up required to do the trigger mod.

I had finally found that 6-32 allen screws are the proper size for the trigger, but could not find a reference for length needed.

I meant to trace the trigger on paper because I am thinking I will break out a piece of metal, jewelers saw and some files and make me a trigger.

I did note several places were there is metal to metal contact that I will work over with diamond file then polish up. Stamped parts were pretty rough so the polish job will probably just make trigger pull smoother.
