Diy Measure barrel Harmonics

IDK. Barrel tensioning is a thing. Essentially trapping both ends of the barrel so they can’t flex except in a controlled way. Makes sense for PBs with a barrel that is not attached to flex differently with a slightly different charge or bullet weight. Arrows have “nodes” as they respond to energy applied. It probably happens to airgun barrels as well but to a lesser degree.
 
Every round - or square - shape, full material or hollow like a tube - have node points and flexes - and oscillate. More noticeable when longer.
Tensioning a barrel you can do only - imagine a guitar string.
People here entertaining with "barrel tensioners" idea and claiming results - is a placebo. These tensioners all compressing a tube and can create other errors.
No worries I am not pointing a finger to anybody, I was on that list as well for couple months testing thausand pellets and slugs. And finally removed, and back to a barrel tuner.
