DIY scope repair video series

Necessity is the mother of invention. Lack of warranty is another. Here's a series of videos I found on YouTube of good detail and quality giving the DIY-er direction to scope disassembly, modification and or repair and then reassembly.

I found them when looking for direction and instructions on adjusting the ocular bell lense housing to move parallax adjustment to the given value (see video Part III at 9m50s) My parallax was off by a few yards from the minimum yardage that I wanted to adjust down to. It doesn't take much adjustment to move the focus.

I have one probably over 10 years old 3-9x30 Chinese scope, it was just laying in the drawer for years. Earlier in the Spring I needed urgently just any scope for close combat in my backyard.
I remembered this FFP scope and managed to move the front ring/lens, not much maybe half a turn only.
The result?
I made it focusing down to 4-5 meters. But I lost the far distance focus about 25-30 meters and beyond, which is fine with me.
I got for a free a dedicated short parallax scope for my backyard only ;)
