FX Do FX PCP generally hold an air charge well in storage?

Sometimes you get an oring problem which causes a leak. As long as you take care of your guns that should be rare and you can quickly take care of it.

I have nine rifles and two of them had a leak from the start. One from the day of purchase (Leshiy2 - leak on the gauge oring) and a Flashpup (fill port leak). You learn how to fix it and you move on.

However I can say that my Crown never had any leaks.

Will the FX hold the air charge well if not used for a while?
I've had my FX .25 cal Wildcat for over 6-years. Over 5,000 pellets through it. It's never leaked or cause any kind of problems. I took it out for the first time since last April a couple of days ago to the range with my 40X also. I always try to leave the pressure around the 150 bar when in storage. I shot a 8 rd clip at 50 yds with one flyer into about .5" c to c. Good enough for me!!

Regardless of brand it should hold air, if it doesn't you've got an oring issue somewhere or the poppet valve/seat has debris or is compromised. Mrod gen 1, charged for 10 years since last re oring. Aea hpss air for 2 years since I bottle converted it, fx, air as long as I haven't needed to put unnecessary power mods on it. Moral of the story is it should hold air, and if it doesn't something is amiss. If you store unpressurized for a length of time, more often than not orings will shrink away and dry out and you'll be rebuilding it. At least that's been my experience over the years.

I generally shoot my guns close to but just above reg settings and rarely refill them before I put them away. Main reason is I believe it's easier on the reg.

I have a brand new FX M3 that I've owned for a couple of years in the box. It had about 200 bar when I received it and I filled it to 250 bar. It has never lost 1 psi of air the entire time I've had it. The only time they will leak is if they have an o-ring that has dry rotted or has been damaged.

Then again, I had a brand new Umarex Hammer that would lose all air within 3 days. Sent that back and they sent me another brand new one. It's just one of those things that you deal with sometimes.
