Sucks to hear that. Do what you can when you can.
I shoot in the winter as long as the snow isn't too deep. I have been lucky this year, the snow was late to the party, and I was able to keep the ground targets in place a little longer. However, the snow is now deep on the forest floor, and I had remove the snow around them, or move to a higher location. Needless to say, I'm running on borrowed time on the f/t range. This will be the last week of F/T 2024/2025 When the snow is too much in the mts, I switch over to the desert for the rest of the winter. The older I get the colder I get. LOL.
I have been using hot hands hand warmers for years @ work and decided to give them a go while I shoot in the cold. I put them in a pair of fingerless gloves, on the top of my hands and that seemed to do the trick. There are usb rechargeable types that a friend uses while snowmobiling, he says thay are a game changer for keeping hands warm.
