I am thinking another 177 will be my next purchase and it will be a carbine. Possibly with a bottle. The AvengeX tactical carbine is interesting but I am not a big tactical fan and I question how well made the Air Venturi stock will be (and is the comb height adjustable?). But I also find the bottle just plain ugly. I would MUCH prefer a fill probe to that ugly foster fitting bottle. Is it just me?

As to the factory stock and comb
The stock is Ok-ish, typical loose and rattling buttstock on the tube, the grip is ehh, it will do as a starter..
The comb is Fixed
I went bat s!%t with mine and bought the Saber Tactical chassis, Hogue Rubber Grip, just recently added Magpul PRS Lite adjustable buttstock and FX Folding Stock Adapter..
I really enjoy the gun after all those upgrades

I find it extremely ugly as well. It's one of the reasons I have ruled out the Avenge X for my first PCP purchase.

YEP! But I have to say this. I was gifted an FX Bobcat 1 a while back. Always thought they were the #1 "fugliest" airgun available at the time. NEVER would have opted to buy one. Then I put it through its paces. Holy Crap, what a great shooting gun, laser like. It FEELS great to shoulder too. All my aesthetics bias went out the window! The beauty of its accuracy, feel & function cured me of judging a gun SOLELY on its looks. If accuracy is the "bottom line" we're looking for that gun has it in spades! So, yeah, Avenge X has a lame looking bottle but howzit shoot?

It’s not a pretty gun in stock form. The magnetic bottle cover really improves it …
