Some of us only target shoot with our airgun. Some of us hunt or do both. Which category do you fall under?

I've not shot a game animal with a firearm in years. Enjoy hunting with airguns, though 95% of what I do is plinking and informal target shooting and probably 4% pesting, which I consider different from hunting.

Both. I shoot targets to prepare and keep sharp for hunting. I also shoot paper to learn the gun, try different projectiles, and occasionally attempt to tune guns.

Both, but when I hunt small game, it's always with an air rifle. Haven't shot a critter with 22lr in years.

I've been tempted to get a 357 pcp solely for deer stalking. Sure is hard to hang up the 44 mag lever gun though. My ears would appreciate the switch!
Edit: I forgot Missouri changed the caliber requirement from 30 to 40 cal minimum for hunting with an air rifle.

Target and plink with the occasional rat when I can catch them in the backyard but I don’t consider that hunting.

Same here. Hours and hours plinking and pushing the limits of the equipment.
Squirrel meat probably costs me 20.00 a pound by now.

Both, I used to use my precision rimfire to squirrel hunt but since I’ve gotten into PCP’s, I prefer to use them.

Plink and hunt. No big game yet but it will happen.
For the people who pest and say they are not hunting, what is the demising line that separates the two activities? I am not arguing but had never thought of pesting as anything but hunting pests. Just curious.

What separates the two for me hunting would involve walking property looking for the animal. Me I sit on my love seat in the back yard shooting paper and what ever sparrow, starling or squirrel that pops up in range.
