Do you need a hunting License to shoot Collared doves

Have an invite to shoot some doves tomorrow and of course unable to contact the DNR. Hope someone can chime in or I'll get a a 3 day license in the AM

Hey Doc, they have a season set for Sept 2016 thru August 2017, in other words year round with no bag limit so I'd bet at least a small game license would suffice.

Check on line, we can get license and regulation are on line in Alabama. Arizona should be ahead of Alabama with tech. and have everything on line

You have to pony up large in Arizona, as the small game (and fishing), non resident license is $160! You can buy the license on line, or from any Walmart.

My name is Robert H. I'm new to this forum . This has got to be the best forum out there . I have been on the GTA ,The Yellow, and this one by far is the best one . People actually talk to you and answer your question and are pretty respectful on here . I talked to a older gentlemen out in Roswell and he was very nice , gave me advice on how to get permissions and trying to point me in the right direction where the dairies are .I took down his name and phone number . I thought that I was the only airgunner in New Mexico. I'm glad to see that I'm not . If you have any additional ideas on how I could get permissions or where to go to get some pesting in . I would greatly appreciate it. Enjoy the pesting !

Well we couldn't get access to the Dairy so hunted a public area next to A dairy near my brother's house. Total tally was 3 sparrows. I did get a one day license to be safe.

Most states require a license to hunt. Doesn’t matter that there is no bag limit, non native, etc.. Arizona is one of those states and so is TX.

Wasn't sure if "pesting" was considered hunting and required a license. I tend to error on the side of caution so bought a license anyways.

Good thing you bought one they require one.
Utah doesn't, they want to get rid of the buggers along with coon and fox.

Seems kinda weird that a state makes you buy a hunting license for animals not on the list to be hunted that are invasive species. Thats why I love MT no license required for most small game species with no limit and year round shooting for them.
