I shoot mainly alone. I only have just under 10 yards available across my patio, so I sit and stack pellets and work on trigger control from an open class seated FT position.
When I need distance, same thing, usually alone. But then I have specific needs to address.
Otherwise, I shoot with the guys every Tuesday morning at our TRAC matches. We could have as few as 6 or as many as a dozen or more. not sure if it is the cameraderie or the shooting that draws us together each week, but we do get to shoot a full 48-shot FT match, swap jokes, swap lies, heckle each other, you know, the usual stuff.
We call it our adult (questionable) mental health group therapy sessions.
Much better than sitting at home and looking at the endless honey-do list.....
You have just made 98 percent of us very jealous , "every week ""shooting that draws us together each week, but we do get to shoot a full 48-shot FT match, swap jokes, swap lies, heckle each other, you know, the usual stuff. "
Sewing beside you while you shoot? I'd say you're not alone.Does this count as someone shooting with you
maybe, since they can't talk, they are trying to tell you "Your invading our space "?Let me guess, the cows crowd you when not behind a locked gate, not aggressive, just hey, what are you doing while surrounding you? Decades ago I had permission to shoot at a cattle farm. The one field I liked to use had a perfect and safe place to practice with my IHMSA targets at full regulation ranges and had a few sets of older pigs, chickens, turkeys, and rams from a friend that put them up in a barn at his place when they were all but done for. Unfortunately, that field was most of the times available to the cows as it was the biggest fenced field on the farm. I couldn't shoot for longer than 20 minutes if they weren't locked up in another field before they would come over and surround me. Never got aggressive, but you can't shoot when surrounded by dozens of cattle. I never could believe they came straight to me shooting a 44 magnum revolver.
I shoot alone 99.99% of the time.
