Does a 700mm FX Impact shroud take any liner as long as its a 700mm liner?

I have a fx impact m3 .30 cal and I want to shoot .22 cal. Instead of purchasing a barrel kit. Can't I just purchase the pellet liner, magazine, and pellet probe. Is the barrel kit needed specifically for .22? I figured if I buy the .22 700mm liner and install it into the shroud then it should work?

U get just the liner then you would need to buy caliber change kit I believe Huma air has them for sale because locking nut is a different size and the side with transfer port would also need to be changed to the smaller size

Internal diameters at both sides are smaller that's why they make a caliber change kit

I have a similar question. I have a FX Maverick .25 call 700mm w/slug power kit for .22//25 call and I would like to shoot .22 Cal pellets and slugs for increased distance and shot count. Will it work if i just purchased a caliber change kit for .22, STX heavy superior liner, and a .22 Cal jam nut?

Won't really help your distance but shot count it should but yeah a caliber change kit and a magazine

The outer black barrel that the liner goes into, along with the shroud, are the only two pieces that can be used for all calibers.

Brass TP, Stainless adapter, liner lock, pellet probe, and magazine are all caliber specific.

As far as the factory moderator, you can go from big to small, not the other way around

Well all shrouds are interchangeable if it has a thread in moderator insert of the right inner diameter. Older models may fit if going to smaller caliber when they have the non removable insert.
