does anyone have a reviev of the mrod air hand pump ??? .

I purchased one about 2 months ago from Mrodair for $129 shipped, it didn't come with instructions but it wasn't difficult to assemble and came with seals and everything needed to rebuild the pump.
It doesn't have a filter or anywhere to install one like the Hill pump and isn't as sturdy but it cost at least half the price.
The fill hose on Mrodair pump hose is 21" and comes with a beefy quick disconnect fitting and has a fluid filled gauge that I prefer over the Hill pump that has a 13" hose and a non filled gauge.
The Mrodair pump operates about the same as the Hill pump but the Mrodair pump has a fold-up base that makes it less stable when pushing and pulling.
The pump is well constructed and has operated without problems and should prove to be a decent pump.
I bought the Mrodair pump to supplement my Hill pump for field use.

Mounting the pump base will not improve stability because it will still allow the same side to side movement because of the hinges on the base. After awhile I got used to it but initially it will be noticeable and the pump is about a pound lighter and an inch shorter than the Hill pump.
I did however add a large oring to cushion the contact on the downstroke which also minimizes the metal to metal noise when pumping.
