Does anyone know of a BC chart for slugs

I have searched for a chart for slug BC's and found nothing. Great ones for pellets but nothing for slugs. Trying to compare the BC for .22,.25 and .30 to see what is the best fit for my needs. Well, I've BC tables for slugs and for pellets in .22 cal.

The pellet table also includes the H&N slugs Piledriver and Rabbit.

The slug table includes active links to the manufacturers' webpages for getting the info on the other calibers.

Thanks for the charts, the 22 cal one is great. I am looking for a friend who is shooting a 30cal. Impoact w/slug barrel and SPAW power tune and believes that .22 cal's are the way to go. Before he spends that kind of money wanted to get his some info. Thanks again. Jim

That's a great chart but I think the BC changes at different speeds and I'm not sure they are all shot at the same speed (not sure on this). I don't have hard numbers to produce but I do have (2) chronographs and will measure some BC myself. That being said my guess is Griffin Slugs have the best BC compared to the others. He has the longest slugs with the LDC 2 stock process, I think his 22gr slugs are the same length as the 29gr NSA slugs and they have a smaller hollow point that cuts through the wind better than the 2S - and they open up bigger too!

Jeff,

you are right, the BC (or rather the drag coefficient) changes somewhat with velocity. 

That's why the BC table states the ME and the range (when such data was available).



rsterne (aka Bob) has done some pretty interesting tests on .22 JSB's variable BC (cf. attachement).

Would be great if others continued that work!

Agreed on longest slugs & OP’s friends thoughts on .22 slugs being best in common calibers. Unless you jump to 6mm/.243 or .257, which I am for anything past 300 yards. 
But here’s something I do have for you. 

Chart is for the .25’s they currently have.

They’re coming out with a shorter RBT to get .25 RBT HP’s down to 32 grains. Add a Hollow Rebated Boat Tail & Low Density Core Delrin ball as shown in slug and hopefully they get the .25’s down to 26-28 grains. 

This 39 grain .25 may work better than my .22 Griffins. I’m sending 29 grain .390” OAL @ 1070 tethered & 32 grain .412” OAL @ 1040
& my GS from a 1:17.7 choked LW standard barrel has gotta be around, well I got .188 but I stink at math. BC has to be at least .133 with what I’ve seen. 
I’m gonna be reading figures at 1’ from muzzle & 25 yards. The sheet above is derived from a new Labradar Griffin has so they’re better readings than I can provide.

Thanks, my fellow Tidewater AirGun Club member Joe, switches his Impact caliber and slug weight all the time in search for the perfect long-range combo. I found my 25 Impact loves NSA 36.2 slugs and have used them with great results. I know that my double bottle SPAW tuned Impact is capable of doing more than this old solider is. Thanks for the advice I will check out Griffin slugs. I co-hold the clubs 200 yard shooting record and I know Joe will soon break it so I may need an edge. Happy shooting to you Jeff.
