Does Ernest Rowe’s STX liner carbon sleeve work?

in my case I used a stainless steel rod that I had and took adhesive backed sand paper and wrapped it around the end of the rod so it just fit inside the carbon tube then do a whole lot of twisting, pushing, and turning to get it sanded out using long strokes. make sure you stop every now and then to check how far in the end of the liner with the ring will go into the carbon sleeve. don't make the mistake of using the muzzle end as it is choked and smaller diameter than the rest of the liner.

always been my understanding that carbon fiber is stronger that steel, pound for pound. that and I think using the stainless steel would further complicate the harmonic issue that the carbon is trying to reduce. my mind says the stainless would continue to ring/oscillate just as the factory liner does. but given enough thickness like a bull barrel it would reduce as well, but then it tends to add weight to the front end and cause balance issue to an already nicely balanced system. Just my thoughts and I've no documentation to prove/disprove my statements.
