Hello everyone,
Hope I can make my point and make sense. Here is the deal, I am trying out a “new” Pellet to shoot in my FX Crown MK II rifle. By new I mean this is new to this rifle, I have been shooting JSB MRD 13.43, and I now have shot a full tin ( 400 ) with the Crown. I feel that the rifle is seasoned ( if that is possible ) to the FX Pellet and now is a good test to confirm weather or not that “the Pellet” is accurate. Now let me say that I know for a fact that the rifle is accurate, so any scoring will be on the Pellet less the human factor.
Now look at the attached photo of a 25-Yard MOA target that I shot this morning, conditions near perfect, overcast sky, absolutely no wind and cool temp of 48 degrees. Also note that I used my eye patch while shooting this target. On #4 I have circled it in Blue, I will accept that this miss is on me ( the human factor ). On #5 I circled it in Red and here comes the hard part to consider and explain. I am not bragging but generally I do not miss by that much, so is this a Pellet flier or is it me, OR is it a combination??? Number 6, 17, 24 and 25, again I will accept as a miss caused by me. If I use a .177 Scoring Plug, then #6 and #25 are MOA. On #10, #21 and #22 circled in Red, I am calling these Fliers, but are they???
When you fellows are fine tuning your guns to a Pellet, how critical do you look at and score each shot? I would truly appreciate a fair and sincere response about your procedure.
Thank you,
ThomasT
