Does this trigger NEED polishing/sanding ???

I have learned from you gentlemen that all new triggers should be smoothed for a better trigger feel.

This one looks pretty smooth already to me. I figure I would make it seem rougher if I sand it. (Never mind that that hollow pin seems too fragile. I am afraid to force it out, expecting it to fracture)

So what do you all think?

This is the sear. That contact edge seems very slim. So any alteration to the angle would ruin the release mechanism.

Am I understanding this process correctly?

FIRST Use it-AS-IS- shoot it at least for a couple hundred rounds first. Notice the wear- where it WILL show BARE METAL. THEN go from THERE... MAYBE it COULD feel GOOD ENOUGH just from wear-in-break-in...

Put a couple drops of sewing machine oil at that roll pin.

I usually put a minimum of 500 rounds on a new trigger before doing anything. Usually after that break in they don’t need anything.

The 1322 that I started this hobby with, definitely could see room for improvement. The cast and stamp marks were pretty strong.

This one seems much more refined which is why I asked for help.

It would have been beneficial to know what specific gun that trigger sear came from when the inquiry was first posted.

That 1322 could have just been changed out with a superior P-Rod trigger group. Or doing it on the cheap but not as good change the trigger spring and use a polished 22 Rimfire case as a guide.
