To be fair this guy put a video out today and apologized about how he acted in the comments, (others felt the same as us) and about the video that maybe its not so much a conclusion as his thoughts with limited testing.

Something tells me this flat-earther got his tin foil hat just a wee bit too close to an open microwave. I continue to be amazed at the ability of some people to delude themselves. Then again, that significant numbers of his audience actually buy into his story is no less impressive.

I am a very experienced Airguner and take most of my shots at 80 Yards for pest control and have been to Extreme Benchrest twice trust me wind affects your accuracy

One of the main causes for MY misses at field target matches shooting piston hunter class is misjudging the amount of “hold-off for wind”, especially when the wind swaps direction between the 1st shot on a target and the second stop. Ya see, I’m not a good “wind doper”.Oh well…with my simple .177 HW95 shooting 7.9ish grain die lot marked and dated Crosman Premiers from the 1250 count box, this 5 shot group at 50 yards drifted 1″ left of the aim point when shot in a light steady breeze. The group was “better than normal” for me but if the wing was shifting “left right front back” like it normally does at my back yard shooting lane I can testify from EXPERIENCE that the group would also open up at 50 yards. The reason, wind from the left causes the pellet to sail right, wind from the right causes the pellet to sail left, wind in the face cause the pellet to drop, and wind from the back causes the pellet to rise. The amount of the poi shift is determined by the strength of the wind……

LOL.....I've seen springer innerds that I thought was tuned by fillin' with grease from a grease gun which is more of a "tune" than hanging "rubber thingies" on the barrel!

I gotta admit that I've never seen a "grommet" tune....or ever heard of any shooter that did NOT believe that wind was a factor in delivering a shot on a target.....but then again....
I heard that nowadays a guy can be a girl just by claiming to be one....so if this guys pellets are immune to the forces of the wind cuz he claims they are.....just like those guy/girls it's best to not even dispute their alternative reality...I never argue with other people's hallucinations.

I'm going to the farm tomorrow. Forecast is for 10-20 mph wind. I guess I don't need to be concerned with that....just hold crosshairs?

Hummmm.....try it and let us know how it works. If one black "barrel grommit" works well then it seems that a 'perty stack up of a "black and tan" would have to work twice as good!
Funny thing is that I do know adding a muzzle break to my HW95 did change the poi vs "breakless". I'm not convinced that the group size was affected however but I guess it is possible.

It's all good.
After watching this video I'm at least convinced that the presenter is convinced and is freely sharing. He made mention that he's found the best combination for his gun and for the wind present on this particular day. You don't see it but we were given the speed of the wind for both days but not the exact direction in relationship to the target being shot. Full value wind or something less, we just don't know.
I do believe finding the correct pellet design and weight for each individual rifle will reduce the winds effect at longer ranges. I just hadn't found away to completely eliminate a full valued wind of that speed and at the distance he is shooting. Keep in mind the target is only 50 yards or so away and many of the elements encountered when engaging targets at much greater distances will never apply to a pellet rifle at this distance. So no need to compare the two..
I found this video and it's creator to be somewhat informative because it's generated some discussion and got me to thinking about heavier pellets. I'd would've like to see a wind flag set up near the target while shooting the groups but hey, we're not professional producers and no one can think of or remember to say everything. I did visit the site where this video came from and appreciate the information he freely shares.
