DonnyFL or Buck Rail

Hey Guys,

I'm looking to see if anyone has any experience or advice here to help me with my decision. I've got a Benjamin Marauder .22 that I'm looking to make as quiet as possible. The DonnyFL moderators look great but are a little pricey. Buck rail seems to make some for $20 that are 3D printed. Has anyone tried both moderator brands to see which is quiter?

Thanks!

You didn't specify which Donny FL moderator, but fortunately, I did an unscientific test with my Marauder .22 rifle with the Donny FL Sumo, Tanto, Tatsu, Donny FL FX, Buck Rail, and the stock FX Impact M3 moderator with 3D printed baffles.

I found that the Sumo was the most quiet to my ears.

If you decide to go with a Donny FL for a .22 cal, I suggest you go the route of the moderator that has the size .177/22 cal. The larger the hole through the moderator, for instance .22/.25 cal, the larger the sound decibel my ears detected with my .22 cal rifle.

Hope this helps.

Have a Sumo on a P Rod and Talon P. Both in .22 & work great. Fat boy on an Avenger in .22, works great but on a TalonP in .25, not so. Put a Buck Rail .30 cal on the .25 Talon P and was very satified. Hated the 3D finish so I wrapped it in adhesive backed neoprene from Hobby Lobby for a dollar. For 27 bucks shipped to your door you cant go wrong.

replaced SUMO w/ buck rail $25. 25 maverickTook the "pop" out and replaced with a "clank". I believe its Mostly hammer slap. Hard to tell being the shooter. I see no problem and think I prefer buck rail. That's not because of price, either. I have a hugget which I've seen none that compare with. Now's when $200 price comes in! You can try one. Service is quick! Inexpensive enough for a try. I was pleasantly surprised
